The Hub is not only busy with activities for young people every evening but also very busy with building work.
Fundraising and grants from various funds, including Candles on the Cobb who gave a grant of £2000, mean that the installation of accessible toilets and shower facilities has started. Having these facilities to complement the disabled access to the building will ensure that the building will now be fully inclusive.
The three main hall windows are being totally refurbished, funded by a £10,000 grant received after working jointly with the Coastal Community Team from the Coastal Revival Fund. This work will require external scaffolding to provide safe access and public protection. Temporary traffic lights on Church Street will be installed on Monday 29th February to Thursday 24th March, weather permitting that the installations can be timely.
We hope that the work will not cause too much disruption on Church Street and thank you for your continued support whilst this is being completed
